Bridgwater: Hidden Voices

  • St Francis of Assisi Church Saxon Green Bridgwater, England, TA6 United Kingdom (map)

A course which will give you all the tools you need to help your community respond to modern slavery.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a four session course and the dates for attendance are: 17th January, 14th February, 28th February and an unconfirmed fourth date.

We have worked on the Hidden Voices resources with Mosaic Creative. They have years of experience in Church and Community Mobilisation: helping faith groups respond to challenges in their community.

Hidden Voices is written in four modules: Understanding modern slavery, Detection, Prevention, and Restoring dignity. All of the modules include Biblical reflections and practical tools and activities to help churches work alongside their community. There are also case studies that help people to see how they might already be coming across modern slavery without knowing it.

We hope that churches who do the Hidden Voices resource will feel inspired and ready to start a project of their own by the end. They might not have all the answers, but they will certainly know where to start. You can read more about our hopes for the Hidden Voices resource here
