Sheffield: Launch of anti-slavery work in the diocese

  • Sheffield Cathedral Church Street Sheffield, England, S1 1HA United Kingdom (map)

Join us for an evening at Sheffield Cathedral, exploring the problem of modern slavery in the diocese of Sheffield, and how the church can work together with other groups to stop it.

We will learn together about the global and local picture of modern slavery: what great work is already happening in Sheffield, and where are the gaps? What opportunities are there for local people to volunteer or make a difference to this vast problem? There will be space to network with other delegates present, as we seek to generate interest and energy and think clearly and creatively about how we can work together.

Our speakers:

  • Bishop Alistair Redfern, Chair of The Clewer Initiative

  • Caroline Virgo, Project Officer from The Clewer Initiative

  • Lara Bundock from the Snowdrop Project

  • Dr Alan Billings, South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner
