Worcester: Modern Slavery Day Conference

  • Holy Trinity Church Community Hall High Street Wordsley, England, DY8 5RU United Kingdom (map)

The Diocese of Worcester is hosting a training and awareness day conference on modern slavery. The diocese embraces both Worcestershire and Dudley, and slavery is as likely to be found in leafy rural Worcestershire as in the Black Country conurbation of Dudley.

The primary aim of the day is to help people recognise the possible signs of slavery in their community, and together with partners like the police services of West Mercia and the West Midlands, local authorities, and community groups, build on that recognition to record and report slavery, and free, help, and support those being enslaved.
