Chester: Slavery in supply chains

  • Chester Cathedral (map)

Work in business? Is there slavery in your supply chain? Come and learn from local business leaders about how they have tackled modern slavery in their industry.

On the evening of Thursday 8th March 2018 a group of Chester-based organisations will host an evening on modern slavery in supply chains for local business leaders.

Cheshire West and Chester Council, Chester Cathedral, the Cheshire Anti-Slavery Network CIC and The Clewer Initiative are all coming together to raise awareness of this issue.

Any businesses with a turnover of more than £36 million are legally required to produce a modern slavery statement, detailing how they are reducing risk of modern slavery in their supply chain.

But smaller businesses are not immune from the dangers of exploitation. Join us for an evening of learning from one another as we speak to Quintin Lake from supply chain experts Fifty Eight about how to raise awareness of modern slavery in your company, and how to stop it occurring in your supply chain.
