A curse in our age - the local picture of modern slavery

  • Wells Cathedral Cathedral Green Wells, England, BA5 United Kingdom (map)

This is the second of the two events on modern slavery in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. On Wednesday 15 November (2-4.00pm) a variety of speakers will provide us with opportunities to discuss the challenges of modern slavery at a local level – “The Local Picture”. (The first event will be held in Wells Cathedral on Wednesday 18 October).

Modern slavery is one of the scandalous ills of today’s society. Efforts to combat it are a great work, drawing together many people of good will. The Church of England is closely involved with this endeavour through The Clewer Initiative and Wells Cathedral will be hosting two public events looking at this important issue.

Please come to find out more. No need to book for these free events but donations are welcome.
