A group of Church of England bishops have issued a call to the public to “open their eyes” to slavery in their midst.
Our third annual networking meeting at Lambeth Palace took place on Wednesday 15th May.
Drivers who downloaded our Safe Car Wash app, launched last June to help raise awareness of modern slavery in hand car wash, used the app over 2000 times. 41% of their reports showed a high likelihood of modern slavery in the hand car wash.
Earlier in the year, the Diocese of Lichfield and Transforming Communities Together held an evening of action called Re:Dress, tackling the fashion industry and their role in modern slavery and the environment.
