Every year around UK Anti-Slavery Day on 18th October churches and faith communities raise awareness of modern slavery and encourage people to take action! This includes on Freedom Sunday, which this year will be Sunday 20th October.
SAVE THE DATE: UK ANTI-SLAVERY DAY 18TH OCTOBER 2019
There are lots of ways to get involved as an individual, or in a group.
For example, you could run an event on Anti-Slavery Day on 18th October (or in the week following) or include prayers for freedom in your intercession time at church on Sunday 20th October. We will be releasing more ideas and resources over the next few months, but for now make sure you have done the following things:
Get the date in your calendar (and your church’s!)
Let your wider network know
Get in touch with us [email link] to find out who your local Clewer project lead is and how you can link in with work going on in your area.
Make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter to get the resources as soon as they are released.
P.S. While we’re here, get next year in your diary too – Sunday 18th October 2020!
